This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 75.66

सो अश्रुपूर्णनयनो प्रतिभणति वाणिजो शिरीषगतो ।
नाहं आर्यपुत्र देवो नागो गरुडो गुह्यको सुवर्णो वा ॥ ६६ ॥

so aśrupūrṇanayano pratibhaṇati vāṇijo śirīṣagato |
nāhaṃ āryaputra devo nāgo garuḍo guhyako suvarṇo vā || 66 ||

The merchant in the acacia tree, with his eyes full of tears, replied, “Good friend, I am no deva, nor Naga, nor Garuda, nor Guhyaka, nor Suvarna. Nor am I thousand-eyed Virudhaka, nor yet a Yaksha. (66)
