This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 26.33

संवर्ताञ् च विवर्ताञ् च अशीतिन् तेन कर्मणा ।
दुर्गतिं नोपलभते एतच् च्छत्रस्य तत्फलं ॥ ३३ ॥

saṃvartāñ ca vivartāñ ca aśītin tena karmaṇā |
durgatiṃ nopalabhate etac cchatrasya tatphalaṃ || 33 ||

“As a result of that act, during eighty kalpas of the world’s dissolution and evolution he experienced no rebirth into evil states. Such was the fruit that canopy bore. (33)
