The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अथ सर्वेश्वरीं देवीं शरण्यां ते नभश्चराः ।
भक्तिनम्रशिरःकायाः कालरात्रिं प्रतुष्टुवुः ॥ २९ ॥
atha sarveśvarīṃ devīṃ śaraṇyāṃ te nabhaścarāḥ |
bhaktinamraśiraḥkāyāḥ kālarātriṃ pratuṣṭuvuḥ || 29 ||
All these celestials then, bowed down their heads in veneration; and all joined with their prostrate bodies to praise the dark goddess of Night, who is the refuge and resort of all.
