Yoga Vasistha [sanskrit]

223,437 words | ISBN-10: 8171101519

The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.52.42

रिक्तं देशादिशब्दार्थैर्देशकालक्रियात्मकम् ।
यथास्थितमिदं तत्र सर्वमस्ति न वास्ति च ॥ ४२ ॥

riktaṃ deśādiśabdārthairdeśakālakriyātmakam |
yathāsthitamidaṃ tatra sarvamasti na vāsti ca || 42 ||

It is inexpressible by the words, implying space and time or any other thing; though it is the source and seat of them all; it comprehends everything, though it is nothing of itself.
