The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.77.49

पुष्पामोदाविवाभिन्नौ भूतलस्थौ शिवाविव ।
वैदग्ध्यसुन्दरमती सर्वशास्त्रार्थपण्डितौ ॥ ४९ ॥

puṣpāmodāvivābhinnau bhūtalasthau śivāviva |
vaidagdhyasundaramatī sarvaśāstrārthapaṇḍitau || 49 ||

They were joined in one person, as the androgyne body of Uma and Siva on earth; and were united in one soul, as the different fragrances of flowers are mixed up with the common air. Their clearness of understanding and learning of the sastras led them both in the one and same way.
