The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.21.36

एवं चतुर्युगं साग्रं नीरन्ध्रैरचलैर्वृताम् ।
अप्रवृत्तजनाचारां संस्मरामि धरामिमाम् ॥ ३६ ॥

evaṃ caturyugaṃ sāgraṃ nīrandhrairacalairvṛtām |
apravṛttajanācārāṃ saṃsmarāmi dharāmimām || 36 ||

I also remember this earth to be full of mountains and mountainous tracts, for the space of full four yugas; when there were no men peopled on earth, nor their customs and usages got their ground in it.
