The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.8.25

महाविषलतैषा हि संसारविषमूर्च्छनाम् ।
ददाति रभसाश्लिष्टा परामृष्टा विनश्यति ॥ २५ ॥

mahāviṣalataiṣā hi saṃsāraviṣamūrcchanām |
dadāti rabhasāśliṣṭā parāmṛṣṭā vinaśyati || 25 ||

It is a poisonous tree, whose very touch benumbs the senses in a moment; but being pressed down by reasoning, it dies away in a trice.
