The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

क्व कटप्रोच्चलद्भृङ्गमण्डलोत्पलशेखराः ।
मुग्धस्त्रीश्वासमधुरैर्मशकैर्मथिता गजाः ॥ ८ ॥

kva kaṭaproccaladbhṛṅgamaṇḍalotpalaśekharāḥ |
mugdhastrīśvāsamadhurairmaśakairmathitā gajāḥ || 8 ||

As it is impossible also for the buzzing gnats, to put to flight the infuriate elephant, with the swarm of bees sucking his frontal ichor, and the lotus bushes gracing his fore-head:—
