The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.70.20

यथा न किंचित्कलयन्मञ्चके स्पन्दते शिशुः ।
तथा फलान्यकलयन्कुरु कर्माणि राघव ॥ २० ॥

yathā na kiṃcitkalayanmañcake spandate śiśuḥ |
tathā phalānyakalayankuru karmāṇi rāghava || 20 ||

As the baby lying in the cradle, moves its limbs to no other purpose than its mere pleasure; so Rama, do your duties for pleasure's sake (as a labour of love), and not for reward.
