The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.48.36

इति संचिन्त्य नगराद्गाधिस्तस्माज्जगाम ह ।
कन्दरं प्राप्य शैलस्य तस्थौ विश्रान्तसिंहवत् ॥ ३६ ॥

iti saṃcintya nagarādgādhistasmājjagāma ha |
kandaraṃ prāpya śailasya tasthau viśrāntasiṃhavat || 36 ||

Having long thought in this manner, Gadhi went out of the city, and came to the cavern of mountain; where he rested after all his travels and travail of thought, like a lion tired with his roaming for forage.
