The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

विचित्रकार्यकर्तृत्वमाहरद्वासनावशात् ।
स्वेच्छामात्रानुरचिता दशाश्चानुपतत्तथा ॥ ३५ ॥

vicitrakāryakartṛtvamāharadvāsanāvaśāt |
svecchāmātrānuracitā daśāścānupatattathā || 35 ||

It assumes to itself the agency of all its various acts, under its subjection to a variety of desires; and thus exposes itself to the changes of its state, in this life and all its future births.
