जज्वलुः शस्त्रसंघट्टज्वलना उल्मुकाग्निवत् ।
जगर्जुः शरधारौघान्वर्षन्तो वीरवारिदाः ॥ २३ ॥

jajvaluḥ śastrasaṃghaṭṭajvalanā ulmukāgnivat |
jagarjuḥ śaradhāraughānvarṣanto vīravāridāḥ || 23 ||

The clashing swords flashed with living flames of fire by their striking against one another; and showers of arrows whistled like hissing rainfalls in the air.
