The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.25.11

तां योजनशताकारैः प्रतिराकं प्रबोधिभिः ।
सागरैर्भ्रमरैर्व्याप्ता दिक्वतुष्टयशालिभिः ॥ ११ ॥

tāṃ yojanaśatākāraiḥ pratirākaṃ prabodhibhiḥ |
sāgarairbhramarairvyāptā dikvatuṣṭayaśālibhiḥ || 11 ||

Its extent is a thousand yojanas square, and is surrounded on all sides by the dark sea like a belt of black bees.
