The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आत्मगर्भगृहं चित्ताद्यथासंकल्पमात्मनः ।
देशकालक्रियाद्रव्यकल्पनावेदनं स तत् ॥ ३६ ॥

ātmagarbhagṛhaṃ cittādyathāsaṃkalpamātmanaḥ |
deśakālakriyādravyakalpanāvedanaṃ sa tat || 36 ||

The soul or spirit is the spacious womb of productions, and the means of executing its own purposes, and of knowing the proper time and place, and the article and the manner of action.
