The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

समपृच्छदथागत्य यमं सर्वार्थकोविदम् ।
परायणं हि प्रभवः संदेहेष्वनुजीविनाम् ॥ १६ ॥

samapṛcchadathāgatya yamaṃ sarvārthakovidam |
parāyaṇaṃ hi prabhavaḥ saṃdeheṣvanujīvinām || 16 ||

He then returned from his reconnoitering to his all-knowing master Yama, and besought his advice, as servants do in matters of doubt and difficulty.
