The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.3.94; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

भयेन, यथा —
म्लानाननः कृष्णम् अवेक्ष्य रङ्गे
सिष्वेद मल्लस् त्व् अधि-भाल-शुक्ति ।
मुक्ति-श्रियां सुष्ठु पुरो मिलन्त्याम्

अत्यादरात् पाद्यम् इवाजहार ॥२.३.९४॥

bhayena, yathā
mlānānanaḥ kṛṣṇam avekṣya raṅge
siṣveda mallas tv adhi-bhāla-śukti
|
mukti-śriyāṃ suṣṭhu puro milantyām

atyādarāt pādyam ivājahāra ||2.3.94||

English translation

From fear:
“Seeing Kṛṣṇa in the arena, the wrestler’s face turned pale, and drops of perspiration appeared on his forehead. His forehead seemed like a conchshell offering arghya with great reverence to the goddess of liberation, who had just arrived in front of him.”
