स इद्दासं॑ तुवी॒रवं॒ पति॒र्दन्ष॑ळ॒क्षं त्रि॑शी॒र्षाणं॑ दमन्यत् । अ॒स्य त्रि॒तो न्वोज॑सा वृधा॒नो वि॒पा व॑रा॒हमयो॑अग्रया हन् ॥
स इद्दासं तुवीरवं पतिर्दन्षळक्षं त्रिशीर्षाणं दमन्यत् । अस्य त्रितो न्वोजसा वृधानो विपा वराहमयोअग्रया हन् ॥
sa id dāsaṃ tuvīravam patir dan ṣaḻakṣaṃ triśīrṣāṇaṃ damanyat | asya trito nv ojasā vṛdhāno vipā varāham ayoagrayā han ||
English translation:
“The sovereign Indra attacking him overcame the loud-shouting, six- eyed, three-headed Dāsa, andTrita, invigorated by his strength, smote the water-laden (cloud) with his iron-tipped finger.”
Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya
Water-laden cloud:liṭ, the boar]. leader of men, manifested favourably for our (aid), laudable, slew the bodies (of the enemies) in the slaughter ofthe Dasayus.
