र॒क्षो॒हणं॑ वा॒जिन॒मा जि॑घर्मि मि॒त्रं प्रथि॑ष्ठ॒मुप॑ यामि॒ शर्म॑ । शिशा॑नो अ॒ग्निः क्रतु॑भि॒: समि॑द्ध॒: स नो॒ दिवा॒ स रि॒षः पा॑तु॒ नक्त॑म् ॥
रक्षोहणं वाजिनमा जिघर्मि मित्रं प्रथिष्ठमुप यामि शर्म । शिशानो अग्निः क्रतुभिः समिद्धः स नो दिवा स रिषः पातु नक्तम् ॥
rakṣohaṇaṃ vājinam ā jigharmi mitram prathiṣṭham upa yāmi śarma | śiśāno agniḥ kratubhiḥ samiddhaḥ sa no divā sa riṣaḥ pātu naktam ||

English translation:

“I offer clarified butter to the powerful Agni, the slayer of rākṣasas, I approach the most spaciousdwelling, the friend (of worshippers); Agni sharpening (his flames) is kindled by pious men; may he guard us frommalignant spirits by day and by night.”
