अश्वो॒ नो क्र॑दो॒ वृष॑भिर्युजा॒नः सिं॒हो न भी॒मो मन॑सो॒ जवी॑यान् । अ॒र्वा॒चीनै॑: प॒थिभि॒र्ये रजि॑ष्ठा॒ आ प॑वस्व सौमन॒सं न॑ इन्दो ॥
अश्वो नो क्रदो वृषभिर्युजानः सिंहो न भीमो मनसो जवीयान् । अर्वाचीनैः पथिभिर्ये रजिष्ठा आ पवस्व सौमनसं न इन्दो ॥
aśvo no krado vṛṣabhir yujānaḥ siṃho na bhīmo manaso javīyān | arvācīnaiḥ pathibhir ye rajiṣṭhā ā pavasva saumanasaṃ na indo ||
English translation:
“Yoked by the priests, you neigh like a horse, (you are) terrible as a lion, swifter than thought; Indu, pour happiness upon us by those which are the most direct of the paths leading hitherward.”
