म॒न्द्रस्य॑ रू॒पं वि॑विदुर्मनी॒षिण॑: श्ये॒नो यदन्धो॒ अभ॑रत्परा॒वत॑: । तं म॑र्जयन्त सु॒वृधं॑ न॒दीष्वाँ उ॒शन्त॑मं॒शुं प॑रि॒यन्त॑मृ॒ग्मिय॑म् ॥
मन्द्रस्य रूपं विविदुर्मनीषिणः श्येनो यदन्धो अभरत्परावतः । तं मर्जयन्त सुवृधं नदीष्वाँ उशन्तमंशुं परियन्तमृग्मियम् ॥
mandrasya rūpaṃ vividur manīṣiṇaḥ śyeno yad andho abharat parāvataḥ | tam marjayanta suvṛdhaṃ nadīṣv ām̐ uśantam aṃśum pariyantam ṛgmiyam ||
English translation:
“The wise (worshippers) know the form of the exhilarating Soma-juice, the food that the falcon brought from afar; they cleanse in the waters the fostering (Soma) delighting (the gods), flowing around, and deserving laudation.”

The falcon brought from far: a bird in the form of gāyatrī brought it from heaven
