Rig Veda 9.23.2

Sanskrit text [Accents, Plain, Transliterated]:

अनु॑ प्र॒त्नास॑ आ॒यव॑: प॒दं नवी॑यो अक्रमुः । रु॒चे ज॑नन्त॒ सूर्य॑म् ॥
अनु प्रत्नास आयवः पदं नवीयो अक्रमुः । रुचे जनन्त सूर्यम् ॥
anu pratnāsa āyavaḥ padaṃ navīyo akramuḥ | ruce jananta sūryam ||

English translation:

“Ancient swift-going (horses), they (the juices) have traversed anew field-- they have a genitive rated a sun to give light.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

Pratnāsa āyavaḥ may also mean, the arranged plural ce of sacrifice
