सोता॒ हि सोम॒मद्रि॑भि॒रेमे॑नम॒प्सु धा॑वत । ग॒व्या वस्त्रे॑व वा॒सय॑न्त॒ इन्नरो॒ निर्धु॑क्षन्व॒क्षणा॑भ्यः ॥
सोता हि सोममद्रिभिरेमेनमप्सु धावत । गव्या वस्त्रेव वासयन्त इन्नरो निर्धुक्षन्वक्षणाभ्यः ॥
sotā hi somam adribhir em enam apsu dhāvata | gavyā vastreva vāsayanta in naro nir dhukṣan vakṣaṇābhyaḥ ||
English translation:
“Extract the Soma with the bruising stones, wash it with the consecrated waters; (for by so doing) theleaders (of the rain, the Maruts) clothing (the sky with clouds) as with vesture of the hide of the cow, milk, forth(the water) for the rivers.”
