Rig Veda 6.66.1

Sanskrit text [Accents, Plain, Transliterated]:

वपु॒र्नु तच्चि॑कि॒तुषे॑ चिदस्तु समा॒नं नाम॑ धे॒नु पत्य॑मानम् । मर्ते॑ष्व॒न्यद्दो॒हसे॑ पी॒पाय॑ स॒कृच्छु॒क्रं दु॑दुहे॒ पृश्नि॒रूध॑: ॥
वपुर्नु तच्चिकितुषे चिदस्तु समानं नाम धेनु पत्यमानम् । मर्तेष्वन्यद्दोहसे पीपाय सकृच्छुक्रं दुदुहे पृश्निरूधः ॥
vapur nu tac cikituṣe cid astu samānaṃ nāma dhenu patyamānam | marteṣv anyad dohase pīpāya sakṛc chukraṃ duduhe pṛśnir ūdhaḥ ||

English translation:

“May the like-formed, benevolent, all-pervading, all humiliating troop (of the Maruts) be promptly with the prudent man; the troop that ever cherishes all that among mortals is designed to yield (them) advantage; and (at whose wil) Pṛśni gives milk from (her) bright udder once (in the year).”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

That ever cherishes: martteṣu anyad dohase pīpāya = tad rūpam (marutām), martyaloke anyad oṣadhi vanaspatyādikam kāmān dogdhum āyāyagoti, that form of the Maruts cause one or other thing in the world, herbaceous plural nts, forest trees, and the like, of flourish, so as to milk or yield wht is desired;

Pṛśni: implies the firmament, which, by the influence of the winds, sends down its milk, i.e. rain, once, i.e. at the rainy season
