अश्वा॑ इ॒वेद॑रु॒षास॒: सब॑न्धव॒: शूरा॑ इव प्र॒युध॒: प्रोत यु॑युधुः । मर्या॑ इव सु॒वृधो॑ वावृधु॒र्नर॒: सूर्य॑स्य॒ चक्षु॒: प्र मि॑नन्ति वृ॒ष्टिभि॑: ॥
अश्वा इवेदरुषासः सबन्धवः शूरा इव प्रयुधः प्रोत युयुधुः । मर्या इव सुवृधो वावृधुर्नरः सूर्यस्य चक्षुः प्र मिनन्ति वृष्टिभिः ॥
aśvā ived aruṣāsaḥ sabandhavaḥ śūrā iva prayudhaḥ prota yuyudhuḥ | maryā iva suvṛdho vāvṛdhur naraḥ sūryasya cakṣuḥ pra minanti vṛṣṭibhiḥ ||
English translation:
“Resplendent as steeds, of one kindred, they engage in combat like valiant heroes; like (prosperous) men, they, the leaders (of rites), have increased (in power), and cover the eye of the sun with showers.”
