वात॑त्विषो म॒रुतो॑ व॒र्षनि॑र्णिजो य॒मा इ॑व॒ सुस॑दृशः सु॒पेश॑सः । पि॒शङ्गा॑श्वा अरु॒णाश्वा॑ अरे॒पस॒: प्रत्व॑क्षसो महि॒ना द्यौरि॑वो॒रव॑: ॥
वातत्विषो मरुतो वर्षनिर्णिजो यमा इव सुसदृशः सुपेशसः । पिशङ्गाश्वा अरुणाश्वा अरेपसः प्रत्वक्षसो महिना द्यौरिवोरवः ॥
vātatviṣo maruto varṣanirṇijo yamā iva susadṛśaḥ supeśasaḥ | piśaṅgāśvā aruṇāśvā arepasaḥ pratvakṣaso mahinā dyaur ivoravaḥ ||
English translation:
“The Maruts, radiant with light, purifiers of the rain, like twins of goodly aspect and graceful form, masters of tawny and of ruddy steeds, devoid of guile, thinners (of foes) and vast in magnitude as the sky.”
