सं यज्जनौ॑ सु॒धनौ॑ वि॒श्वश॑र्धसा॒ववे॒दिन्द्रो॑ म॒घवा॒ गोषु॑ शु॒भ्रिषु॑ । युजं॒ ह्य१॒॑न्यमकृ॑त प्रवेप॒न्युदीं॒ गव्यं॑ सृजते॒ सत्व॑भि॒र्धुनि॑: ॥
सं यज्जनौ सुधनौ विश्वशर्धसाववेदिन्द्रो मघवा गोषु शुभ्रिषु । युजं ह्यन्यमकृत प्रवेपन्युदीं गव्यं सृजते सत्वभिर्धुनिः ॥
saṃ yaj janau sudhanau viśvaśardhasāv aved indro maghavā goṣu śubhriṣu | yujaṃ hy anyam akṛta pravepany ud īṃ gavyaṃ sṛjate satvabhir dhuniḥ ||
English translation:
“When Indra, the possessor of opulence, discriminates between two men, both wealthy, and exerting themselves (against each other) for the sake of valuable cattle, he takes one of them as his associate, causing (his adversaries) to tremble, and the agitator (of the clouds), together with the Maruts, bestows upon him herds of cattle.”
