Rig Veda 3.53.20

अ॒यम॒स्मान्वन॒स्पति॒र्मा च॒ हा मा च॑ रीरिषत् । स्व॒स्त्या गृ॒हेभ्य॒ आव॒सा आ वि॒मोच॑नात् ॥
अयमस्मान्वनस्पतिर्मा च हा मा च रीरिषत् । स्वस्त्या गृहेभ्य आवसा आ विमोचनात् ॥
ayam asmān vanaspatir mā ca hā mā ca rīriṣat | svasty ā gṛhebhya āvasā ā vimocanāt ||

English translation:

“May this lord of the forest never desert us nor do us harm; may we travel prosperously home until the stopping (of the car), until the unharnessing (of the steeds).”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

This lord of the forest: vanaspati, i.e. the timber of which the car is made
