ओष्ठा॑विव॒ मध्वा॒स्ने वद॑न्ता॒ स्तना॑विव पिप्यतं जी॒वसे॑ नः । नासे॑व नस्त॒न्वो॑ रक्षि॒तारा॒ कर्णा॑विव सु॒श्रुता॑ भूतम॒स्मे ॥
ओष्ठाविव मध्वास्ने वदन्ता स्तनाविव पिप्यतं जीवसे नः । नासेव नस्तन्वो रक्षितारा कर्णाविव सुश्रुता भूतमस्मे ॥
oṣṭhāv iva madhv āsne vadantā stanāv iva pipyataṃ jīvase naḥ | nāseva nas tanvo rakṣitārā karṇāv iva suśrutā bhūtam asme ||
English translation:
“Like two lips uttering sweet words, like two breasts yielding nourishment for our existence; be to us like two noses, preserving our person ns, and like two ears for the hearing of agreeable (sounds).”
