कृ॒ष्णं नि॒यानं॒ हर॑यः सुप॒र्णा अ॒पो वसा॑ना॒ दिव॒मुत्प॑तन्ति । त आव॑वृत्र॒न्त्सद॑नादृ॒तस्यादिद्घृ॒तेन॑ पृथि॒वी व्यु॑द्यते ॥
कृष्णं नियानं हरयः सुपर्णा अपो वसाना दिवमुत्पतन्ति । त आववृत्रन्त्सदनादृतस्यादिद्घृतेन पृथिवी व्युद्यते ॥
kṛṣṇaṃ niyānaṃ harayaḥ suparṇā apo vasānā divam ut patanti | ta āvavṛtran sadanād ṛtasyād id ghṛtena pṛthivī vy udyate ||
English translation:
“The smooth-gliding wafters (of the rain, the solar rays), clothing the waters with a dark cloud, ascend to heaven; they come down again from the dwelling of the rain, and immediately the earth is moistened with water.”
