वि॒ष्ट्वी शमी॑ तरणि॒त्वेन॑ वा॒घतो॒ मर्ता॑स॒: सन्तो॑ अमृत॒त्वमा॑नशुः । सौ॒ध॒न्व॒ना ऋ॒भव॒: सूर॑चक्षसः संवत्स॒रे सम॑पृच्यन्त धी॒तिभि॑: ॥
विष्ट्वी शमी तरणित्वेन वाघतो मर्तासः सन्तो अमृतत्वमानशुः । सौधन्वना ऋभवः सूरचक्षसः संवत्सरे समपृच्यन्त धीतिभिः ॥
viṣṭvī śamī taraṇitvena vāghato martāsaḥ santo amṛtatvam ānaśuḥ | saudhanvanā ṛbhavaḥ sūracakṣasaḥ saṃvatsare sam apṛcyanta dhītibhiḥ ||
English translation:
“Associated with the priests, and quickly performing the holy rites, they, being yet mortals, acquired immortality and the son of Sudhanvan, the Ṛbhus, brilliant as the sun, became connected with the ceremonies (appropriated to the different season) of the year.”
