Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. अनिर्देश्यवयोरूपा देवकन्याः स्वलंकृताः ।
मृष्टतप्ताङ्गदधरा विमानैरनुयान्ति तम् ॥ ६१ ॥

anirdeśyavayorūpā devakanyāḥ svalaṃkṛtāḥ |
mṛṣṭataptāṅgadadharā vimānairanuyānti tam || 61 ||
