प्रेम-लक्शणया भक्त्या
सन्तुश्टो भगवान् हरिः
तस्मै स्वं दर्शनं दत्त्वा
वरं ब्रूहीत्य् उवाच ह

prema-lakśaṇayā bhaktyā
santuśṭo bhagavān hariḥ
tasmai svaṃ darśanaṃ dattvā
varaṃ brūhīty uvāca ha

prema-lakśaṇayā—characterized by love; bhaktyā—with devotion; santuśṭaḥ— pleased; bhagavānthe Lord; hariḥKṛṣṇa; tasmai—to him; svam—His own; darśanam—sight; dattvāgiving; varamboon; brūhi—speak; iti—thus; uvāca— said; ha—indeed.

English translation of verse 6.9.20:

Pleased by his loving devotion, Lord Kṛṣṇa appeared before him and said, "Ask for a boon."
