The Garga-samhita Verse 6.9.19, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 6 of Chapter 9 (The Arrival of Shri Dvaraka) of Canto 6 (dvaraka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

पित्रा निःसारितो राज्ञाप्य्
आनर्तो ऽब्धि-तटं गतः
वेलाम् एत्य तपस् तेपे
वर्शानाम् अयुतं जले

pitrā niḥsārito rājñāpy
ānarto 'bdhi-taṭaṃ gataḥ
velām etya tapas tepe
varśānām ayutaṃ jale

pitrā—by teh father; niḥsāritaḥ—expelled; rājñā—by the king; api—also; ānartaḥAnarta; abdhiof the ocean; taṭam—to the shore; gataḥ—went; velām— on the coast; etyagoing; tapaḥausterities; tepe—performed; varśānām—of years; ayutam—ten thousand; jale—in the water.

English translation of verse 6.9.19:

Banished by his father, Anarta went to the seacoast and entered the ocean, where he performed austerities for ten thousand years.
