The Garga-samhita Verse 5.5.35, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 5 (Shri Krishna’s Entrance Into Mathura) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

श्री-नारद उवाच
राज-मार्गे रङ्ग-कारं
रजकं यान्तम् उन्मदम्
गोपालानुमतेनैव
प्राह तं मधुसूदनः

śrī-nārada uvāca
rāja-mārge raṅga-kāraṃ
rajakaṃ yāntam unmadam
gopālānumatenaiva
prāha taṃ madhusūdanaḥ

śrī-nārada uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; rāja-mārge—on the royal road; raṅga-kāram—a dyer of cloth; rajakam—a washerman; yāntam—going; unmadam—frantic; gopālānumatenaiva—with the permission of the gopas; prāha—said; tam—to him; madhusūdanaḥ—Lord Kṛṣṇa.

English translation of verse 5.5.35:

Śrī Nārada said: To please the gopas, Lord Kṛṣṇa spoke the following words to a washerman and cloth-dyer that was frantically going on the king's road.
