अथापराह्ने स-बलं
गोविन्दं बालकैः पुरीम्
द्रष्टुम् अभ्युदितं वीक्ष्य
नन्दो वाक्यम् अथाब्रवीत्
athāparāhne sa-balaṃ
govindaṃ bālakaiḥ purīm
draṣṭum abhyuditaṃ vīkṣya
nando vākyam athābravīt
atha—then; aparāhne—in the afternoon; sa-balam—with Balarāma; govindam—Kṛṣṇa; bālakaiḥ—with the boys; purīm—the city; draṣṭum—to see; abhyuditam—eager; vīkṣya—seeing; nandaḥ—Nanda; vākyam—words; atha—then; abravīt—spoke.
English translation of verse 5.5.22:
Noticing that afternoon that Kṛṣṇa, Balarāma, and the boys were eager to see Mathurā City, Nanda spoke the following words.
