Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:
ततस् तु तत्-प्रसादेन
तत्-पदार्चन-दर्शनात्
ददृशुर् गां तदा गोप्यो
भगवत्-पाद-चिह्निताम्
tatas tu tat-prasādena
tat-padārcana-darśanāt
dadṛśur gāṃ tadā gopyo
bhagavat-pāda-cihnitām
tataḥ—then; tu—indeed; tat-prasādena—by His mercy; tat—His; pada—feet; arcana—worship; darśanāt—because of seeing; dadṛśuḥ—saw; gām—the earth; tadā—then; gopyaḥ—the gopīs; bhagavat-pāda-cihnitām—marked with the footprints of the Lord.
English translation of verse 2.21.16:
When He saw them worship His feet, the Lord became merciful. For this reason the gopīs were able to see a place marked with the Lord's footprints.
