नीत्वा मृषाश्रु भीरुं च
गच्छन्ती नन्द-मन्दिरम्
अग्रे नन्दं स्थितं दृष्ट्वा
मुखे वस्त्रं चकार ह

nītvā mṛṣāśru bhīruṃ ca
gacchantī nanda-mandiram
agre nandaṃ sthitaṃ dṛṣṭvā
mukhe vastraṃ cakāra ha

nītvā—bringing; mṛṣāfalse; aśrutears; bhīrum—frightened; ca—and; gacchantī—going; nandaNanda's; mandiram—to the palace; agre—before; nandam—Nanda; sthitam—standing; dṛṣṭvāseeing; mukhe—in the mouth; vastram—cloth; cakāradid; ha—indeed.

English translation of verse 1.17.33:

As frightened Kṛṣṇa shed false tears, she brought Him to Nanda's palace. Seeing Nanda standing there, she covered Kṛṣṇa's face with the edge of His garment.
