The Garga-samhita Verse 1.17.32, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 17 (Description of the Yogurt Theft) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

भग्न-भाण्ड-स्वनं श्रुत्वा
प्राप्त गोपी प्रभावती
पलायितेषु बालेषु
जग्राह श्री-करं हरेः

bhagna-bhāṇḍa-svanaṃ śrutvā
prāpta gopī prabhāvatī
palāyiteṣu bāleṣu
jagrāha śrī-karaṃ hareḥ

bhagnabroken; bhāṇḍajug; svanam—the sound; śrutvāhearing; prāptā—came; gopīthe gopī; prabhāvatīPrabhāvatī; palāyiteṣu—fled; bāleṣu—when the boys; jagrāha—grabbed; śrī-karam—the beautiful hand; hareḥ—of Lord Hari.

English translation of verse 1.17.32:

Hearing the sound of the jug breaking, the gopī Prabhāvatī came. As the boys fled, she grabbed Lord Hari's beautiful hand.
