श्री-द्रोण उवाच
परिपूर्णतमे कृष्णे
पुत्री-भूते जनार्दने
भक्तिः स्याद् आवयोर् ब्रह्मन्
सततं प्रेम-लक्षणा
śrī-droṇa uvāca
paripūrṇatame kṛṣṇe
putrī-bhūte janārdane
bhaktiḥ syād āvayor brahman
satataṃ prema-lakṣaṇā
śrī-droṇaḥ uvāca—Śrī Droṇa said; paripūrṇatame—to the Supreme Personality of Godhead; kṛṣṇe—Kṛṣṇa; putrī-bhūte—as a son; janārdane—the Lord who removes His devotees' sufferings; bhaktiḥ—devotion; syāt—may be; āvayoḥ—of us; brahman—O Brahmā; satatam—eternally; prema—by love; lakṣaṇā—characterized.
English translation of verse 1.15.11:
Śrī Droṇa said: O Brahmā, may Lord Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, become our son, and may we both always have love and devotion for him, the Lord who removes the sufferings of His devotees.
