The Garga-samhita Verse 1.10.4, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 10 (Description of the Birth of Lord Balarama) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

सत्य-वाक्य-स्थितं शौरिं
दृष्ट्वा कंसो घृणी त्व् अभूत्
दुह्खं साधुर् न सहते
सत्ये कस्य क्षमा न हि

satya-vākya-sthitaṃ śauriṃ
dṛṣṭvā kaṃso ghṛṇī tv abhūt
duhkhaṃ sādhur na sahate
satye kasya kṣamā na hi

satya-vākya-sthitam—whose word is true; śaurim—Vasudeva; dṛṣṭvāseeing; kaṃsah—Kaṃsa; ghṛṇī—kind; tu—indeed; abhūt—became; duhkham—sadness; sādhuh—a saint; na—not; sahate—bears; satye—in truth; kasyaof what?; kṣamā tolerance; na—not; hi—indeed.

English translation of verse 1.10.4:

Seeing that Vasudeva had kept his promise and his word was true, Kaṃsa became softened with kindness. In truth, what suffering will a saint not bear?
