The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.28.168, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 168 of Madhya-khanda chapter 28—“The Lord’s Pastime of Accepting Sannyasa”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.28.168:

ইন্ থে মহাভারত, দান-ধর্ম, বিষ্ণু-সহস্র-নাম-স্তোত্র, ইত্ ইস্ স্ততেদ্: সন্ন্যাস-কৃচ্ ছমঃশান্তো নিষ্ঠা-শান্তি-পরাযণঃ ॥ ১৬৮ ॥

इन् थे महाभारत, दान-धर्म, विष्णु-सहस्र-नाम-स्तोत्र, इत् इस् स्ततेद्: सन्न्यास-कृच् छमःशान्तो निष्ठा-शान्ति-परायणः ॥ १६८ ॥

In the Mahābhārata, Dāna-dharma, Viṣṇu-sahasra-nāma-stotra, it is stated: sannyāsa-kṛc chamaḥśānto niṣṭhā-śānti-parāyaṇaḥ || 168 ||

In the Mahabharata, Dana-dharma, Visnu-sahasra-nama-stotra, it is stated: sannyasa-krc chamahsanto nistha-santi-parayanah (168)

English translation:

(168) “[That Lord Viṣṇu] accepts sannyāsa, is detached from sense gratification, is fully surrendered to Kṛṣṇa, is fully determined to engage in the sacrifice of chanting the holy name of Kṛṣṇa, and is fully absorbed in mahābhāva, which ridicules the peaceful state attained by the nondevotee impersonalists.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

The names of the Lord mentioned in this regard in the Viṣṇu-sahasra- nāma are Sannyāsa-kṛt (He who takes sannyāsa), Śama-śānta (He who is detached from material enjoyment), and Bhagavan-niṣṭha (He who is attached to the Supreme Lord). Śrī Gaurasundara fulfilled the meaning of

these names.
