Audayikabhāva (औदयिकभाव) refers to one of the five Bhāvas (“condition of a living being”), as occurring in the Anekāntajayapatākā-prakaraṇa, a Śvetāmbara Jain philosophical work written by Haribhadra Sūri.—[Cf. Vol. I, P. 29, l. 14]—There are five bhāvas: (1) aupaśamikabhāva, (2) kṣāyikabhāva, (3) kṣāyopaśamikabhāva, (4) audayikabhāva and (5) pāriṇāmikabhāva. Roughly speaking, ‘bhāva’ means a condition of a living being. The audayikabhāva rises from the operation—fruition of karmans. In the case of the embodied soul it is its impurity. For details see JRL (pp. 98-100).
