Antarāt (अन्तरात्).—(= Sanskrit Pali antarā; probably false hyper-Sanskrit for this, interpreted as MIndic abl.), (1) adv., in the mean- time: Saddharmapuṇḍarīka 159.6 (prose); 161.9 (verse; here ed. em. °rā; Nepalese mss. quoted 'ntarān (before k-), read doubtless °rāt; Kashgar recension °re); (2) prep. with gen. and loc., between: atha gayāyāṃ bodhimaṇḍasya cāntarād Lalitavistara 405.3, be- tween Gayā and the Bodhimaṇḍa; also follows yāvac ca… yāvac ca…, from…to, Divyāvadāna 386.9—10, see yāvat (3); repeated, like antarā, with both nouns, and both times followed by ca, antarāc ca rājagṛhasyāntarāc ca gayāyā(ḥ) Lalitavistara 246.3 (read, however, gayāyāṃ as in 405.3 above, with all mss. and Calcutta (see LV.)); with antare instead of the first antarāt, antare ca mucilindabhavanasyāntarāc cāja- pālasya, between Māhārāṣṭrī's dwelling and A.'s (fig-tree), Lalitavistara 380.11; (3) after, with gen.
