This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 87.46

व्याकृतो मया महात्मा भविष्यति बुद्धो अनागते ध्वाने ।
मैत्रेयो महानुभावो आनन्द इमस्मिं कल्पस्मिं ॥ ४६ ॥

vyākṛto mayā mahātmā bhaviṣyati buddho anāgate dhvāne |
maitreyo mahānubhāvo ānanda imasmiṃ kalpasmiṃ || 46 ||

“And I have proclaimed that in a future age in this kalpa there will he a high-minded, mighty Buddha named Maitreya. (46)
