This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 75.56

सुखिता खु ये + + + समागता ज्ञातिबान्धवजनेन ।
एकरजनीं वसित्वा शरीरनाशं करिष्यन्ति ॥ ५६ ॥

sukhitā khu ye + + + samāgatā jñātibāndhavajanena |
ekarajanīṃ vasitvā śarīranāśaṃ kariṣyanti || 56 ||

“Happy are they who can foregather with their kith and kin, and live with them were it but for one night, and then die. (56)
