The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.156.28

सिन्धुर्वदिष्यति ।
न प्रार्थिता मया कस्मादनेनैषा सरस्वती ।
संविच्छुद्धा मया कस्मात्प्रार्थिता नेह मुक्तये ॥ २८ ॥

sindhurvadiṣyati |
na prārthitā mayā kasmādanenaiṣā sarasvatī |
saṃvicchuddhā mayā kasmātprārthitā neha muktaye || 28 ||

Sindhu will then respond to it and say said:—why is it that prince did not pray the goddess of pure wisdom for his obtaining a kingdom like me; and how was it that I slighted to pray her for my final liberation as he did?
