The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

प्राप्तोऽस्म्योजःप्रदेशं तं तस्य तस्मिन्हृदन्तरे ।
अवेक्षितुं स्वबन्धूंस्तान्व्याप्तो वासनया तया ॥ ५५ ॥

prāpto'smyojaḥpradeśaṃ taṃ tasya tasminhṛdantare |
avekṣituṃ svabandhūṃstānvyāpto vāsanayā tayā || 55 ||

I got to [the] region of vitality which was situated within the heart, and was by my lasting desire to see the friends I had before, and I left behind.
