The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

विहसन्न हसत्येव जीवन्मुक्तो महोदयः ।
वीतरागाः सरागाभा अकोपाः कोपसंयुताः ॥ ४० ॥

vihasanna hasatyeva jīvanmukto mahodayaḥ |
vītarāgāḥ sarāgābhā akopāḥ kopasaṃyutāḥ || 40 ||

The great man that is liberated in his life time, does not smile though he has a smiling face; nor is he affected by nor angry at any thing, though he seems to be moved by affections and anger.
