The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

देहादिजीवन्मुक्तानां स्वभावान्न कदाचन ।
मृतोऽपि नैव म्रियते रुदन्नपि न रोदिति ॥ ३९ ॥

dehādijīvanmuktānāṃ svabhāvānna kadācana |
mṛto'pi naiva mriyate rudannapi na roditi || 39 ||

The bodies of liberated persons, are not affected by external events, and though such a one may appear to be weeping, yet he never weeps in grief; nor does he die, with the death of his mortal body.
