The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.81.57

पुराणि घर्घरारावैर्दृश्यन्ते लुतितान्यधः ।
सगृहाट्टालवास्तव्यं न च किंचिल्लुठत्यधः ॥ ५७ ॥

purāṇi ghargharārāvairdṛśyante lutitānyadhaḥ |
sagṛhāṭṭālavāstavyaṃ na ca kiṃcilluṭhatyadhaḥ || 57 ||

The cities were seen to be rolling with a tremendous noise in the waters below, and no relics of houses and towers and the habitations of human kind, were found to be left beneath.
